Recipes to Prevent the Sunday Scaries

You know it, we know it… sometime around 3 pm on Sunday afternoon, they start creeping in and as the day progresses they escalate… the Sunday Scaries! Take a few deep breaths, try one of these cocktails to help you chill out and refresh. Try light cocktails with ingredients known for a body and mind boost like carrot juice, tomato juice, matcha, mint, and a paper umbrella always helps.
Wishful Thinking
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
- 1 oz Bacardi Rum
- 1 oz Guava Juice
- 1 oz Coconut Cream
- 5 Chunks Pineapple
- 1 Cherries
Matcha Margarita
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 2 oz Tequila
- 0.75 oz Lime Juice
- 0.5 Bar Spoon Matcha Green Tea Powder
Limoncello Basil Limonata
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Hendrick's Gin
- 0.5 oz Limoncello
- 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
- 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
- 3 Basil
- 1 Strawberries
- 0.5 oz San Pellegrino Limonata
Pequeña Colada
Ingredients:
- 2 Parts Sauza Blue Silver Tequila
- 0.75 Part Lime Juice
- 0.5 Part Pineapple Juice
- 0.5 Part Coco Lopez
- 1 Splash Simple Syrup
- Pineapple
Foraging Fresh
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Reyka Vodka
- 1.5 oz Apple Juice
- 1 oz Carrot Juice
- 0.5 oz Celery Juice
- 0.25 Each Lemon Juice
- 0.13 oz Ginger Juice
- 1 Apple
Another Day in Paradise
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Zacapa 23 Rum
- 0.75 oz Riesling
- 0.25 Each Orange Curaçao
- 0.5 oz Seltzer
- 0.5 oz Pineapple Juice
- 0.25 Each Lemon Juice
- 0.25 Each Orange Juice
Directions:
Combine Zacapa Centenario 23 Rum, Riesling, orange Curacao, unsweetened fresh pineapple juice, fresh lemon juice and fresh-squeezed orange juice into a cocktail shaker with two ice cubes. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with orange slice, lemon slice and pineapple leaf.
